ŞÜKRÜ TÜL COLLECTION OF ANTIQUITIES
After Meral Sümer’s donation of her collection to Dokuz Eylül University, a Collection of Antiquities has been established under the auspices of the Faculty of Letters. Since then the collection has been expanded continuously with the efforts of Şükrü Tül and has been under the administration and supervision of the Department of Museum Studies. After Şükrü Tül passed away in 2015, to acknowledge his efforts and contributions in the development of the collection, the name of the collection has been changed to “Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Letters, Şükrü Tül Collection of Antiquities”
